Small sized oil painting on hardboard. The surface was treated with black lava to add an interesting "like cement" texture.

Pintura al óleo de pequeño formato sobre cartón prensado. Traté la superficie con una textura de lava negra que añade un efecto muy interesante a la pintura. Parece tratada con cemento.

An oil on texturized wood ( with black lava) I found the pic in Internet and though he was an interesting subject to make a fast oil painting.

Una pintura rápida sobre tabla , previamente tratada con una imprimación de lava negra y una capa superior de textura más plástica, con el objeto de evitar el deterioro de los pinceles y para facilitar el movimiento de los mismos. usé una foto que encontré en internet. Creo que el sujeto es muy interesante para un formato vertical.

To make this oil on canvas I took a photograph in the Ayamonte´s harbour a day when the people were waiting the arriving of a boat from Portugal with the image of The Virgin Mary. The light of the sunset was indescriptible and beautiful.

Para pintar este cuadro me basé en unas fotos tomadas un atardecer en el puerto de Ayamonte. La gente esperaba la llegada en un barco desde Portugal de una imagen de la Virgen de Fátima. La aglomeración de público daba al puerto un aspecto poco habitual y las luces del atardecer eran maravillosas.

I painted this portrait in September 2007. I always wanted to paint Mr. keitel: he´s a terrific subject and his expresive face is like a gift for a portraitist. Besides, he´s one of the most talented actors alive. I sent to him the painting, he liked it very much and sent to me a beautiful thank you letter. He´s a nice guy and a true gentleman.

Pinté este retrato en septiembre de 2007. Siempre había querido pintar a Harvey Keitel, de hecho tengo varios estudios previos. Su rostro , expresivo y lleno de matices es como un regalo para un retratista. Además, en mi opinión, es uno de los actores con más talento de los últimos años. Al mes siguiente me decidí a enviarselo y me remitió una efusiva carta de agradecimiento diciendo que le había emocionado. Mr. Keitel es un tipo genial y un verdadero caballero.

This monochrome portrait was a assignment. Is a portrait of one of my faves, the singer Tom Waits, a true poet and an interesting subject. I used acrylics ( Burnt Sienna) on canvas.

Este retrato monocromático fué hecho por encargo . Se trata de uno de mis cantantes favoritos, Tom Waits, un verdadero poeta y un interesante sujeto. Utilicé acrílico ( siena tostada) sobre lienzo.

This is a 2007 work. An image of the gnues migration, crossing a river. Is an acrylics on canvas. I love to paint in a monochromatic low value, and I preffer the Sepia or Burnt Sienna. Is a fast work finished in a couple of hours, using enough water to keep the acrylics like a watercolour.

Esta pintura representa la migración de los ñúes, cruzando el río. Es de 2007 y es un acrílico sobre lienzo. Me encanta pintar en gamas melódicas, utilizando siena tostada o sepia, con pequeñas cantidades de blanco. Es un trabajo rápido, de dos horas aproximadamente. He usado la suficiente cantidad de agua para mantener la pintura diluída, con un tratamiento parecido a la acuarela.
